The Sanibel Recreation Center reported on upcoming programs and activities.

The Art Of Breathing with Kim Muncil will be held on March 18 from 10:45 a.m. to noon. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Registration is required.

A collaboration with the Sanibel Public Library and MacIntosh Books + Paper, One Community, One Book will meet on March 19 at noon. The book club is designed to bring neighbors together through literature with local ties. “Last Train to Paradise” by Les Standiford will be discussed. Light refreshments will be provided. The event is free, but registration is required.

Meditation Sampler: Explore Your Practice with Dani will take place on March 19 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Registration is required.

The Shamrock Shuffle Line Dance with Tracy O’Cox will be held on March 20 at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Registration is required.

A Weekend Wellness Walk with Ginger Brien will take place on March 21 at 4:15 p.m. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Meet at the Sanibel Community Park, at 2231 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. The event is free, but registration is required.

The Canterbury School’s Computer Literacy Education and Outreach (CLEO) Club will be available on March 21 from 10 a.m. to noon. It will offer one-on-one tech sessions for seniors to received tailored assistance with their personal devices — smartphones, tablets, laptops. Light refreshments will be provided. The sessions are free, but registration is required.

A Living Compass Workshop: An Adult Self-Assessment with Sue Van Oss will be held on March 23 at noon. The program is free, but registration is required.

Dance Classes will be held on March 23. Open to grades K-8, ballet and tap will take place from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. and hip-hop and jazz will take place from 3:15 to 4 p.m. Free trial, but registration is required.

In partnership with the SanCap Chamber, Sanibel Play & Pour Cafe will take place on March 25 at 11 a.m. Open to ages 65 and older, the laid-back gathering will feature puzzles, games — including the new Sanibel board game — trivia, coffee and conservation designed to keep minds active and friendships growing. Light refreshments will be provided. The program is free, but registration is required.

The center is open on Mondays through Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays from 7 a.m. to5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beach parking permits are available for purchase.
