CAPE CORAL, FL – On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at approximately 1:20 p.m., officers from the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a reported theft at a storage facility located at 2555 NE Pine Island Road in Cape Coral. The investigation revealed that stolen HVAC equipment, valued at nearly $2,000, had been unlawfully removed from a company vehicle and stored at the location earlier that morning.

The suspect, identified as Cristian Kevin Felipe Ramos (DOB 04/30/2002), an employee of an HVAC service company based in Fort Myers, was observed in surveillance footage driving a marked work van into the storage facility around 6:30 a.m. The video shows Ramos exiting the vehicle, meeting with several individuals already on scene, and unloading multiple items from the van into nearby storage units. Footage also showed Ramos picking his nose as the storage facility’s gate opened. Detectives later confronted Ramos with this footage, where he acknowledged he was the driver of the work van arriving at the storage facility.

Investigators recovered HVAC materials valued at approximately $1,985.00, including flex ducting, mastic buckets, straps, and insulated boards. A search warrant was executed later that evening, and the stolen property was successfully recovered and identified as belonging to the employer.

During questioning, Ramos acknowledged being at the storage facility but denied removing any equipment, contradicting video evidence obtained during the investigation. Ramos was taken into custody later that evening at a business on Del Prado Boulevard North.

He was arrested and charged with the following:

Grand Theft (F.S.S. 812.014(2)(c)(1)), a third-degree felony
