JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Blue Cypress Park, located in Arlington off of University Boulevard, was closed down on Wednesday after officials with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said there were reports of shots being fired following a gathering at the park.
Around 6 p.m., police could be seen actively blocking the entrance to the park as an investigation was underway.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue tells News4JAX that no one required transportation to the hospital as a result of the incident.
News4JAX is working to find out more and has sent a crew to the scene.
While many are speculating on social media as to what led to the closure, nothing has been confirmed by officials.
