A Florida eatery was included among Business Insider’s recent list of iconic diners in each state.

According to the list, The Most Iconic Diner In Every State, chrome stools and menus filled with classic comfort foods have made diners quintessentially American.

“From decades-old landmarks to no-frills lunch counters that have quietly become cultural icons in their respective towns, these are the most iconic diners in every state,” Business Insider reported.

In Florida, the most legendary diner is family-owned Peter Pan Diner in Fort Lauderdale.

“Peter Pan Diner is a retro roadside staple that has been serving Fort Lauderdale since 1979. The classic diner is known for its breakfast plates, old-school counter service and burgers,” Business Inside wrote.

Customers who dine at Peter Pan Diner can partake in specialty dishes, such as the feta burger and the pizza burger.

Other menu items at the East Oakland Park Boulevard eatery include the Reuben, the ham club sandwich, a veggie burger, soups and a chicken fajita hoagie.

Peter Pan was additionally recognized as a 2026 South Florida Favorite by the Sun Sentinel, the restaurant announced Tuesday.

“Whether you’re here for our Greek-inspired specialties, a towering stack of pancakes or a late-night drink in the lounge, we’re proud to be your go-to local staple. Huge thanks to our amazing community for the support over the last 45+ years,” the company said in a Facebook post.
