Surveillance video shows the moments a police pursuit came to a crashing end and the subjects running away Thursday in Hialeah.
According to Hialeah Police, officers identified a stolen vehicle with three male subjects inside at around 3 p.m. in the area of West 12th Avenue and 84th Street.
The officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle didn’t stop, police said.
“Officers maintained visual of the suspects as they attempted to flee,” police officials said, and shortly after, the vehicle crashed in the area of West 14th Court and 81st Street.
Surveillance video from the area shows the car crash, knocking down trees on a swale and a fence. Moments later, three people are seen bailing and running out of the car. A police officer runs after them.
Officers immediately apprehended two subjects, and the third was caught after he was spotted jumping into the yard of a private residence, police said.
The subjects, all 16 years old, were taken into custody. Charges are pending.
