WEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – A Miami cosmetic physician was arrested Wednesday and charged with sexually assaulting a sedated patient at his office, nearly five months after the alleged attack occurred.
Sixty-three-year-old Ronald Freedman DeMeo was taken into custody at his office at 2801 SW Third Ave. in Miami around 8:50 p.m., according to an arrest report.
The pain medicine doctor appeared in bond court on Thursday where he traded his white coat for an orange jumpsuit.
Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Mindy S. Glazer told him to stay away from the victim and ordered him to remain in house arrest.
“Stay away from the victim, no contact with that victim, directly or indirectly, in person, writing, by telephone or through third parties…House arrest with a GPS monitor. It’s a level one arrest, total lockdown,” she said.
According to the arrest report, on Oct. 25, 2025, a 29-year-old female patient arrived at DeMeo’s office for a follow-up cosmetic procedure at DeMeo’s office.
The victim, the arrest report states, was given nitrous oxide and prescribed medication ahead of the procedure by the doctor’s orders and was offered a glass of wine by a staff member while waiting.
After drinking the alcohol, the victim told police things took a troubling turn. She reported that she remembered the doctor entering the room and closing the blinds before she lost control of her body.
Then, according to the report, “recalls feeling as if she was pushed down in what she thinks was an office…”
That’s when she said she opened her eyes to find DeMeo over her body, assaulting her as she was too impaired to speak or resist. The arrest report says the suspect was “penetrating her.”
Due to her lack of strength being under medication, the victim told police she “just closed her eyes wanting the assault to end.”
She told police she never consented to or expressed any interest in sexual contact with the defendant.
Days after the incident, the victim discovered a video on her cell phone that she said recorded the assault. According to the arrest report, an investigating officer reviewed the footage and confirmed the identities of both the victim and the defendant and that non-consensual sexual acts were observed.
But in bond court, DeMeo’s attorneys said the footage will prove the incident was completely consensual.
“Very recently, right before the victim reported this to the police, we filed a lawsuit against her for extortion. That’s when she reported to the police and the coup de grâce Your Honor, we have a video of the incident clearly, not even any question, that this was a consensual encounter,” said the attorney.
“If she was drugged, as it’s alleged here, why would the incident be recorded on her cellphone?” asked Glazer.
“Her response to that, in mediation, was that the phone fell to the ground and accidentally started recording,” said the attorney.
“Mhm…” said Glazer.
DeMeo’s clientele is full of celebrities. He boasts nearly 1 million followers on social media and has treated major celebrities like tennis star Serena Williams and TV personality Jonathan Cheban.
DeMeo faces charges in connection with the alleged assault.
As of late Thursday night, he remains behind bars.
He was also ordered not to practice any medicine pending his court hearings.
