The crash initially caused about 200 Duke Energy customers to lose power, but it has since been restored.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — A multi-car crash into a power pole left a Wawa in the dark early Friday morning in Pinellas Park.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of Gandy Boulevard and Grand Avenue.

10 Tampa Bay News crews saw a damaged power pole at the scene as Duke Energy trucks responded.

Initially, Duke was reporting about 200 customers without power in the area. It has since been restored.

Power is still out at the Wawa as of 8 a.m., according to the company’s outage map.

We’re still working to find out what caused the crash or if anyone was hurt.
