“Great effort by the team today. Super response in singles after a narrow doubles point. Shook it off (the doubles point) and came out blazing to start singles.
“Really proud of Vit after a rough finish in Knoxville (Tenn.) last week. He was determined to improve a couple things in practice this week and that extra work paid off in both doubles and singles today. Brendan (Loh) has also been working his tail off in practice and wanting a shot in singles. He seized the opportunity today and gave a fantastic effort. And Matic, who lost focus against the Vols on Sunday, had impressive resolve today.
“Overall, we were right there and will be chomping at the bit this Sunday in Norman (Okla.).”
