JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida softball bounced back for a 12-4 run-rule win over Jacksonville in game two of the River City Rumble at UNF Softball Complex on Friday evening.

The win marked the Ospreys first ASUN Conference win of the season.

After back-to-back strikeouts from sophomore left-handed pitcher Macie Hunolt in the top-half of the first, UNF exploded for six runs off seven hits in the bottom of the frame.

After RBI singles from junior infielder Bella Cimino and junior infielder Hannah Davila, senior infielder Ayden Allen launched a grand slam to left field to make the score 6-0 UNF.

Jacksonville responded with three runs of their own in the second inning and one run in the third.

In the bottom of the third, a bases loaded single from graduate outfielder Hallie Langford brought in two runs. A pinch hit double from sophomore outfielder Kennedy McQuillan drove in the Osprey’s third and fourth runs of the inning to extend their lead to 10-4.

After a steal from junior utility player Addie Keef, Langford was able to cross home plate off the throw to second. Sophomore catcher Caiden Oliva would send the Ospreys home early with an RBI walk off double to center field to run-rule the Dolphins 12-4 in the fifth. For Oliva, it marked her second walk off of the season after she walked off Stony Brook 4-3 on Feb. 15.
