Turney allegedly grabbed his wife by her arms and pushed her.Turney, an Ohio native, then punched several holes in a wall inside the home.The wife said Turney got a knife and threatened another man. The wife said her husband attacked the man by trying to put the man in a headlock and punching the man.The man told deputies that Turney attacked him while he was sitting in the breezeway.The wife said she separated her husband from the man.She added her husband then went to the garage, returned with a machete and began swinging the machete.Get the latest news updates with the WPBF 25 News app. You can download it here.The wife and the man retreated to a breezeway and locked a sliding glass door to keep her husband from reaching them. Turney’s wife believes her husband was intoxicated during the encounter. Turney left the scene before law enforcement arrived.Both victims told deputies that they believed Turney wanted to kill them. Deputies said three other witnesses at the scene provided statements that aligned with what the victims said.Turney was located at a home in St. Lucie County and was taken into custody by the Port St. Lucie Police Department on Monday, March 16.A deputy traveled to the St. Lucie County Jail to speak with Turney. Turney told the deputy that he went to the residence and had an argument with his wife.He admitted to punching holes in the wall but denied he attacked anyone or had any weapons.Turney was transported to the Indian River County Jail, booked into jail on Friday morning and he is being held on no bond.PRIOR ARRESTTurney was previously arrested in St. Lucie County on May 5, 2022, on a battery charge. A Port St. Lucie Police Department arrest report said Turney was “play fighting” with a man, which became more physical. Turney told Port St. Lucie Police Department officers that he is trained in mixed martial arts and used his MMA training to “protect his family.”The victim said Turney’s wife had to separate the two men and told her husband, who admitted to police he was high from smoking marijuana, to go inside.The victim told police he wanted to press charges against Turney.On Aug. 31, 2022, the state attorney’s office in St. Lucie County dropped the charge against Turney.
