Clay County Fire Rescue says the fire, located in the Belmore State Forest, was reported at around 1:50 p.m.
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. — Residents are asked to avoid the area of Barnes Road and Randolph Place in Keystone Heights after a ‘large woods fire’ was reported, Clay County Fire Rescue says.
According to CCFR, the fire is located in the Belmore State Forest and is moving east.Â
The Florida Forestry Service reports the fire to be approximately 300 acres.
CCFR says that no injuries have been reported and no homes have been threatened. The Florida Forestry Service is also said to be at the scene of the fire
“We ask that you stay clear of this area and report any new hazards,” fire rescue says. “If you live in the area please stay alert for any changing conditions.”
