PANACEA, Fla. (WCTV) – Hundreds of people filled Woolley Park for pints and seafood in Panacea at the annual Beer and Oyster Festival on Saturday.
“I love oysters,” Maya Loizeaux said. “Love the energy of the people, the whole event, and everybody coming together to celebrate eating.”
This is the seventh year of the festival, bringing together people from across the region to try local beer and local oysters. Loizeaux traveled from Valdosta to attend.

She says the event helps bring people together of all backgrounds, while also shining a spotlight on local businesses.
“It really is about giving back to the community and supporting local,” Loizeaux said. “We are all connected. We all need each other.”
Aside from beer and oysters, there were dozens of arts and crafts vendors to support.
