Operation Medicine Cabinet Event Scheduled for October 25

PINELLAS COUNTY – The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement agencies will host Operation Medicine Cabinet on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Residents can safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications at any of the nine designated locations across the county. No questions will be asked.

North County Locations:

Countryside Mall Parking Lot, Southwest Corner (Clearwater Police Department), 27001 U.S. Highway 19 North, Clearwater

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office – North District Station, 2496 Bayshore Boulevard, Dunedin

Mid-County Locations:

Indian Shores Town Hall Parking Lot (Indian Shores Police Department), 19305 Gulf Boulevard, Indian Shores

Largo Medical Center (Largo Police Department), 201 14th Street SW, Largo

Largo Police Department, 201 Highland Avenue North, Largo

Walgreens (Largo Police Department), 2295 East Bay Drive, Largo

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, 10750 Ulmerton Road, Largo

South County Locations:

Walmart Supercenter (Pinellas Park Police Department), 8001 U.S. Highway 19 North,

Pinellas Park St. Pete Beach Community Center (Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office), 7701 Boca Ciega Drive, St. Pete Beach

St. Petersburg Police Department, 1301 1st Avenue North, St. Petersburg

Operation Medicine Cabinet aims to increase public awareness of prescription drug abuse and provide a safe way to dispose of medications. Prescription drugs remain the most commonly abused substances in the United States.

The program does not accept biohazards or needles and is intended for private citizens only, not commercial entities. Drop-off sites will be located in parking lots or lobbies with a law enforcement presence at each location.
