According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect through 10 a.m., with visibility reduced to one-quarter mile or less across parts of the Florida Panhandle and south Georgia. Conditions are especially hazardous along I-10, U.S. 27, and rural roads where fog lingers in low-lying areas.
Drivers are already encountering sudden drops in visibility, particularly near wooded stretches and open fields. Expect rapid changes within seconds. Slow down immediately and use low-beam headlights to improve visibility.
Temperatures sit in the mid-50s this morning, and calm winds are allowing fog to persist longer than usual. Conditions should gradually improve by late morning as sunshine breaks through and warms the surface.
By afternoon, skies turn sunny with highs near 85°F, delivering a sharp contrast to the murky start. However, patchy fog may redevelop late tonight into early Monday morning, especially in the same low-lying areas.
Monday brings another warm spring day with highs near 86°F and early fog giving way to sunshine. A slight chance of showers arrives Tuesday, but most of the workweek trends warm and dry with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
