Jacksonville, AL – Jacksonville Parks and Recreation is set to host its annual “Eggstravaganza Events with PARD” on Saturday, March 28, 2026, offering a full morning of family-friendly activities across multiple locations in the city.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with activities centered at the Jacksonville Community Center, located at 501 A Alexandria Road SW, as well as Germania Springs Dog Park. Organizers note that admission is free for all events, making it accessible to families and individuals of all ages.

The day will begin at 8:00 a.m. with “Hunt Ladiga,” an Easter egg hunt and race held along the Ladiga Trail behind the Jacksonville Community Center. The activity is open to all ages, requires no registration, and will include prizes for participants.
At 10:00 a.m., the Egg Drop event will take place in front of the Jacksonville Community Center. Participants are encouraged to preregister to guarantee availability of eggs. The event challenges participants to design and build contraptions capable of protecting an egg during a drop conducted by the fire department at approximately 10:30 a.m. Supplies must be brought from home, though participants may also assemble their designs shortly before the drop. Prizes will be awarded for both creativity and durability.

The final scheduled event, “Bark in the Park,” will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Germania Springs Dog Park, located at 540 Roy Webb Road. This portion of the event is designed for pets, featuring an Easter egg hunt for dogs, opportunities for photos, and a chance for pets to participate in festive activities.
In addition to the scheduled events, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny throughout the day at each location.
