JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville City Council’s Special Investigatory Committee will resume its investigation into uncollected utility capacity fees and workplace culture on Monday.
The committee was formed by City Council President Kevin Carrico following a request from the city’s Office of Inspector General for assistance related to allegations involving JEA, including whether the utility failed to collect certain water and sewer capacity fees from some commercial customers over a period of years.
News4JAX will stream the meeting that starts at 1 p.m.
The committee held its first meeting last week, which was quickly overshadowed by a dispute over access to former JEA legal counsel Regina Ross, who is currently unavailable due to her ongoing role with the Office of General Counsel and potential attorney-client privilege concerns.
