The 2026 Spring Garden Festival will offer a variety of plants, vegetables and herbs to area residents in late April.

The festival will be on April 25 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Onslow County Center, at 4024 Richlands Hwy in Jacksonville, near the the Discovery Garden and Onslow County Farmers Market.

The event is being organized by the Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association of Onslow County and the N.C. Cooperative Extension.

The festival will offer a diverse array of locally grown vegetables, herbs, perennials and landscape plants available for purchase. Hanging baskets will also be sold.

The Extension Master Gardener volunteers will be on site to answer plant or gardening-related questions and a plant clinic will be open to help people with gardening questions and tips.

There will be children’s activities in the Children’s Garden, designed to inspire the next generation of gardeners.

Educational displays in the raised-bed garden area will showcase the possibilities of gardening in small spaces, providing insight for anyone who has a limited area for growing items.

Visitors will also have the chance to tour the Discovery Garden, which features the Pollinator Garden, the gazebo and a pond.

The festival is a fundraiser that supports educational programs within the community designed to help foster a love for gardening and environmental stewardship among residents.
