March 23, 2026 – The City of Tampa has renamed the New Tampa All Abilities Playground, at 17302 Commerce Park Blvd., after Ybor City shooting victim Harrison Boonstoppel. A dedication ceremony was held Saturday. The park is “designed for children with a wide range of physical, cognitive, sensory & neuro-diverse abilities,” according to a City Facebook post. Boonstoppel, who passed away at 20 years old in 2023, faced numerous medical challenges throughout his life. He would overcome these obstacles, and began to take college courses before his passing.
