Three meetings have already been held.
“These sessions build on the strong turnout and thoughtful feedback received during the first three public meetings held earlier this month at Hillsborough College, Jefferson High School, and The Skills Center,” the team said in a release that announced the new meetings.
The new meetings will be held March 25 and April 2.
Rays leadership will attend both sessions to provide updates, answer questions, and gather input from the community.
“The conversations we’ve had across Hillsborough County have been incredibly productive and insightful, and they continue to reinforce the strength of this community,” said Tampa Bay Rays Chief Executive Officer Ken Babby. “Each session gives us a better understanding of how we can create a Forever Home that is rooted in collaboration and partnership with our community. As we move forward, our focus remains on building something that reflects those priorities and creates a lasting impact for Tampa Bay.”
“We’ve been encouraged by the level of engagement and thoughtful input from the community so far, and we’re excited to keep those conversations going,” said Hillsborough College President Dr. Ken Atwater.
Over the past several weeks, the Rays have also been meeting with a variety of stakeholder groups across the community, including first responders, members of the business community, civic leaders, and other key partners, as part of a broader effort to ensure thoughtful and collaborative planning from the outset.
The sessions give baseball fans, nearby residents, and community and business leaders an opportunity to review evolving concepts, ask questions, and share feedback that will help shape the final design.

STADIUM PROJECT BACKGROUND
The new ballpark is a $2.3 billion project that would be on the Dale Mabry campus of Hillsborough College. The location sits directly across from Raymond James Stadium and adjacent to Steinbrenner Field, the spring training home of the New York Yankees.
The project has already received approval from the state and the college to move forward with discussions about using the property.
Located along busy Dale Mabry Highway, the site sits along one of the city’s most heavily traveled roads. An independent report estimates that a new stadium could attract up to 10 million additional visitors each year.
Although traffic would be heavier on game days, the day-to-day average could lead to an increase of more than 25,000 visitors per day.
The Rays say the project will bring in 10 million annual visitors and more than 175 events annually. The team says it is willing to cover half the cost and hopes for public funding through Hillsborough County, and the city of Tampa to cover the rest.
