CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK)—WINK News has obtained exclusive dashcam video of Cape Coral Councilwoman Rachel Kaduk’s arrest for DUI in December.

WINK News received the video through a public records request. The video, a little more than two hours long, shows Kaduk doing a field sobriety test before officers arrested her.

Previously, only a portion of the video was available.

She went into the back of the car where an officer asked her more than once to take a breath test. Kaduk refused to take the test.

“I’m requesting that you now submit to a test of your breath for the purpose of determining its alcohol content. Will you take the test?” the officer said.

“I would like to speak to my husband please,” Kaduk said.

When she continued to refuse, officers brought her to the Cape Coral Police Department, then the Lee County Jail. On her way to the jail, Kaduk asked the officer several times if she could call her husband to see if her baby was okay.

The officer said she could make phone calls when she was booked. Kaduk kept asking the officer about calling her husband.

At one point, the officer cut her off and said he had explained why she couldn’t multiple times.

“Is there any reason why he wouldn’t have your son? Why wouldn’t he be ok?” the officer said.

“Yeah, because I was supposed to be home with our son and instead, I’m in the back of this seat with you,” Kaduk said.

Court records show Kaduk is expected back in court on April 1.
