Universal Orlando Resort is gathering feedback from annual passholders on how access to its newest theme park, Epic Universe, could be incorporated into the annual pass program.

Epic Universe access is the focus of the survey
Universal Orlando distributed a survey to select guests this week. The questionnaire focuses heavily on potential models to add Epic Universe access to annual passes, as well as, pricing expectations, and how passholders value entry to the highly in-demand park.
According to reports from Attractions Magazine community members, the survey took approximately 10 minutes to complete.
While the survey opens with general passholder behavior and visitation habits, the majority of questions center on Epic Universe, which opened in May 2025 and continues to operate with strong demand.
Guests are first asked whether they have visited Epic Universe and what type of ticket they used, including single-day admission, multi-day tickets with Epic access, or complimentary entry.
From there, the survey shifts almost entirely to how passholders could gain future access.

Models under consideration for Epic Universe annual pass access
A key portion of the survey presents three different concepts for how Epic Universe could be offered to annual passholders. Each option includes some form of reservation system, along with blackout dates and capacity limitations.
Annual pass upgrade with Epic Universe access
The first concept proposes adding Epic Universe directly into the annual pass through an upgrade.
Under this model:
Passholders would upgrade or purchase a pass that includes Epic Universe
Reservations would be required for each visit through a multi-step system
Visit dates would not need to be selected at purchase, but would need to be booked in advance
Changes would require canceling and rebooking reservations
Blockout dates and capacity limits would apply
Discounted 1-day Epic Universe tickets
The second concept is essentially what has been offered already: special rate 1 day tickets.
In this scenario:
Annual passholders could purchase discounted 1-day tickets to Epic Universe
Limited to one ticket per day, per passholder
Reservations would still be required before visiting
Blockout dates and capacity limits would apply
Multi-day ticket bundle add-on
The third concept introduces a middle-ground option between single-day tickets and a full pass upgrade.
Details include:
A multi-day ticket bundle allowing 10 separate visits
Visits must be used within a defined three-month window
Reservations required for each visit
Blockout dates and capacity limits apply
This model appears designed to offer a lower per-day cost than single-day tickets, while still limiting overall demand through time-bound usage.

Comparing cost, flexibility, and demand
After reviewing all three concepts, respondents are asked to choose which option they would prefer.
The survey frames the choices in terms of relative cost:
Discounted single-day tickets (lowest cost)
Ticket bundles (mid-tier cost)
Annual pass upgrade (highest cost, potentially doubling the pass price)
Capacity and crowd control remain a priority
Throughout the survey, Universal emphasizes that Epic Universe remains in high demand and that any passholder access would need to balance availability with crowd management.
Each concept is evaluated based on:
Convenience
Ease of understanding
Perceived value
Impact on crowd control
Whether it feels like a meaningful enhancement to the passholder program
The consistent inclusion of reservations, blackout dates, and availability limits across all three options suggests that unrestricted access is not currently being considered.

Additional passholder perks also tested
In addition to Epic Universe access, the survey explores potential enhancements to the broader annual pass program.
These include:
Dynamic Express Pass access on select days
Monthly passholder-exclusive events such as trivia nights or meet-and-greets
Anniversary-based rewards for long-term passholders
Benefit stacking tied to Universal partnerships
Personalized renewal offers based on visit frequency or in-park spending
Exclusive early or late park hours
What this could mean moving forward
While the survey does not confirm any final decisions, it provides a look at how Universal Orlando Resort is evaluating the future of Epic Universe access for annual passholders.
Across all three concepts, the common thread is controlled access: reservations, limited inventory, and tiered pricing structures designed to manage demand while still offering passholders a way into the new park.

Whether Epic Universe ultimately becomes a premium add-on, a discounted ticket option, or a higher-tier annual pass offering remains to be seen.
For now, one thing is clear: if Epic Universe is part of the future of Universal’s annual passes, it will most likely include a few extra steps — or a higher price tag.
