Your Green Pal just launched in Central Florida, and the co-founder describes it as the “Uber for lawn care.” Through the website or app, you can put in how often you want your yard mown, the range you want to pay, and if you have pets, and then it sends you several bids. “Those vendors bid on the property based on the Google aerial view, Google Street View, and the square footage of the property. All those quotes go over to the homeowner. The homeowner can see the vendors, ratings, reviews and price and then they decide who they want to work with based on that criteria,” said co-founder Gene Caballero. They verify the companies to make sure the owner is 18, has a valid driver’s license and Social Security card, and a valid bank account.
