A Florida woman is facing charges after she allegedly stabbed an 83-year-old man multiple times, authorities said.
Jennifer Michelle Gill, 45, was arrested Saturday on an attempted murder charge, Marion County Sheriff’s Office officials said.
Detectives said the victim was sitting in a kitchen when Gill entered and grabbed a knife.
She sprayed the man in the eyes with soapy water then stabbed him multiple times with the knife before fleeing the home, authorities said.
Deputies found Gill about a mile and a half away and took her into custody.

Officials said Gill admitted to the stabbing and said “she wished the knives had been sharper.”
Gill, of Ocala, was arrested and booked into jail.
