This year, Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) invites the community to be part of history by participating in the Greatest American Cleanup. More than just a cleanup, this nationwide initiative celebrates 250 years of the United States while highlighting our shared responsibility to care for the places we call home.
Registration is now open at https://bit.ly/KLCB_Events, with additional cleanup opportunities to be announced soon. From beaches and waterways to neighborhoods and parks, volunteers across Lee County are coming together to make a lasting impact.
In 2025, volunteers removed nearly 7,000 pounds of litter and debris, significantly improving the local environment. With continued community support, KLCB aims to make the 2026 cleanup even more impactful.
“The Greatest American Cleanup is a powerful reminder that caring for our environment is something we all share,” said Trish Fancher, Executive Director of Keep Lee County Beautiful. “As we celebrate 250 years of our nation, this is an opportunity for our community to come together, give back, and take pride in the place we call home.”
The event is open to volunteers of all ages, and anyone can participate, including individuals, families, schools, groups, places of worship, businesses, and government organizations. Click here to register and learn more, or call 239-334-3488 for additional information.
