Florida A&M football returns to practice after spring break

  • March 25, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Florida A&M football team returned to practice on Tuesday after a week off for Spring Break, and it showed.

Head coach Quinn Gray said the tempo was not where it needed to be, but his Rattlers have time to get it right.

The head coach, in his first season in the role, emphasized the importance of quarterback Isaiah Knowles knowing the system to get the offense rolling.

Gray said so far, this team has adjusted to the new coaching staff and a new way of doing things. Now it’s just about continuing to get better as the end of spring ball approaches.

“Helping them understand what we’re looking for and looking forward to being in terms of our identity in the program because you know, we’re looking for tough people. We’re looking for mentally tough people as well as physically tough and then we just want to make sure we’re helping them understand what Rattler football really is and what it should look like,” said Gray.

Florida A&M’s third scrimmage is Saturday. The Rattlers spring game is set for Friday, April 3.
