One dead following Friday shooting at Apalachee Point Apartments

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – One person is dead following a Friday night shooting, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 20, around 7 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting at Apalachee Point Apartments on Southwood Plantation Road.

According to a Tuesday press release from LCSO, one man was transported to a local hospital and a woman was pronounced dead on scene.

Leon County Sheriff’s Office deputies are on scene after a shooting near Southwood Plantation Road.

Initial information from LCSO said two people were injured in the shooting.

LCSO said no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
