From tots and teens to parents and grandparents, Atomic Claw Arcade in Treasure Island has become the go-to beach day spot for some fun outside of the sun. Located at 245 107th Ave, the Japanese-style claw machine arcade has become a favorite of the entire I Love the Burg team, including those without kids (because you don’t have to have kids to feel like a kid again).
With spring break and Easter season in full swing, Atomic Claw Arcade is at the top of our list for beach day activities, whether you need a break from the sun or you’re just looking for something fun and interactive after lying on the sand all afternoon. “Clawcades” like Atomic Claw are booming in popularity worldwide, and they’re totally unlike the typical arcade experience. The biggest difference: clawcades want you to win. The wild array of shining, spinning and colorful machines at Atomic Claw is meant for you to actually walk out the door with prizes in hand.

And those prizes, which include stuffed animals, toys, candy and movie-themed treats, are a dream for any age. The constantly rotating line of plushes, in particular, is a collector’s paradise, and the variety makes sure there’s something for every interest. From Pokémon, anime, Italian Brain Rot, and Zootopia, to One Piece, Jelly Cat, Sponge Bob, and Miffy, there’s literally an entire world of plush entertainment in the machines waiting for a claw to drop and set it free. That, of course, is where we come in.
Atomic Claw Arcade just celebrated its 1st anniversary, and it has developed a huge following in the 12 months since becoming the region’s first clawcade. The fact that people always go home happy (i.e.: with prizes) is a big part of that.
While players aren’t likely to win on every attempt, the machines are designed so that most people should be able to snag a prize on around 1 in every 3 attempts (as opposed to the 20:1 odds on standard claw machines). And with plays only costing $1 or $2 on most machines, those bags full of prizes can get filled up in a hurry.

It’s a wild experience to step from the sun and sand of Treasure Island and be transported to a Tokyo arcade, an emporium full of bright lights and circles of machines welcoming those ready to play. There are more than 40 types of machines and prizes, so you can truly spend a full day going from game to game and experiencing something new every time.
We should also mention that Atomic Claw is set up to host parties year-round. If you’re looking for a group activity with space for everyone, we recommend giving them a call.
Atomic Claw Arcade is open seven days a week, welcoming guests from 4-10 pm Monday-Friday and 12-10 pm Saturday and Sunday. Learn more at atomicclaw.com and be sure to follow Atomic Claw on Instagram for the latest.
