Ongoing drought is expected to worsen as the dry pattern returns for Tallahassee, the Big Bend and South Georgia

  • March 25, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A few weak and dry cold fronts are expected to slide through the region over the next week, bringing little to no rain to the area.

I expect the drought conditions to worsen because of the lack of rain. Meteorologist Austin Lowe has the latest breakdown in First Alert Daily at 2 p.m.
