The following programs will be held at COA’s THE PLAYERS Community Senior Center, 175 Landrum Lane, Ponte Vedra Beach. Most activities are weekly and will begin April 1. Lunch — Tuesdays: Four weeks starting Tuesday, April 7, from noon to 1 p.m. Registration is required a week in advance and the required fee is $5 per meal due upon arrival.
Lunch — Thursdays: Five weeks starting Thursday, April 2, from noon to 1 p.m. Registration is required a week in advance and the required fee is $5 per meal due upon arrival.
Duplicate Bridge: Three weeks on Fridays, starting April 10 from noon to 3 p.m. Required fee is $2 per person, per Friday. You must have a partner and experience to play.
Tap Dance Class: Instructor Ginny Wirzbicki brings much experience to this style of dance and encourages all levels to participate or learn. Three weeks on Fridays, starting April 10 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fee required is $6.25 per class.
Hisshin Sumi-e Painting Class: Traditional East Asian brush painting. This class meets on the second Thursday of every month (April 9) from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fee required is $3 per person.
Open Painting: Five weeks on Wednesdays, starting April 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No fee is required; Bring your own supplies. Instructor Sarah Good onsite April 8.
Caregiver Support Group (Free Program): The group is open to all adult caregivers; meets once a month, on the first Wednesday of each month. Next date is Wednesday, April 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Wii Bowling: Five weeks on Thursdays, starting April 2, 10-11 a.m.
Computer Room: Available Tuesdays through Fridays during open hours; general assistance available
Ballroom Basics: Join volunteer Scott Adkins who will show you the basic steps of ballroom dance (waltz, foxtrot, rumba). No partner is needed; however, comfortable shoes are a must (leather soles are best). Ballroom dance has been proven to be one of the best activities to promote brain health! Five weeks on Thursdays, starting April 2 from 11 a.m. to noon
“Sounds of the Season”: Singer and pianist Rodney Mathews provides musical entertainment as everyone enjoys an Easter celebration together before the holiday weekend. Thursday, April 2, from 10:30 a.m. to noon
“Guitar Gathering”: Local musician Nick Marino and his band have offered to provide an hour of musical entertainment. Tuesday, April 7, from 11 a.m. to noon
“’50s Trivia”: CarePlus representative Nelson Correa leads a game of trivia. It’s all things 1950s. Test your memories, listen to some good ol’ fashioned rock ‘n roll, and enjoy root beer floats on Thursday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to noon
“Senator Rick Scott’s Mobile Office Hours”: Staff members from the senator’s office will be onsite to provide one-on-one assistance with federal agencies such as the VA, Medicare and FEMA. This will be a first come, first served event on Tuesday, April 14, from 10 a.m. to noon
“Birthday Party with The EastyBoyz”: Pastor Eastman Curtis is back, this time with his band, celebrating April birthdays. It’ll be an upbeat, joyful hour with a slice of cake too! Thursday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to noon
“Home Instead”: Home Care Consultant Amy McWilliams discusses the personalized and trusted in-home care services (such as personal and memory care, end of life support and transportation) offered by Home Instead. Tuesday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to noon
“Bus Trip to Fantasy Farms”: Please note this event requires in-person registration and a fee of $15 per person. Have a wild time exploring and learning about this local three-acre animal sanctuary. Cost includes bus fare, admission and lunch. Deadline to register is March 26. Trip takes place on Thursday, April 23, from 9:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
“Monthly Craft”: Have some fun with the relaxing craft of diamond art, also known as diamond painting. No paint brush required! This type of artwork uses colorful resin gems/diamonds that are applied to a sticky canvas, creating a shimmering mosaic picture. Thursday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to noon
“Jammin’ to Jazz”: Landrum Middle School students’ Jazz Ensemble are excited to share their music. Show your support for these budding musicians who have graciously offered to entertain with a small performance. Tuesday, April 28, from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
