The Kraken head to Tampa to face the Lightning for the final time this season.

TAMPA, Fla. — The Seattle Kraken continue their road trip with a matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning Thursday afternoon.

The puck drops in Tampa at 4 p.m. Pacific Thursday, March 2. The game will be broadcast on KONG with pregame coverage starting at 3:30 p.m.

Here is what you need to know about Thursday afternoon’s game:

What to know about the Kraken vs. the Lightning

This is the second and final time the Kraken face Tampa Bay this season. Earlier this month, the Kraken lost 6-2.

It’s been a rough road trip for the Kraken. Right now, they are riding a four-game losing streak.

They almost managed to make a triumphant comeback against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. The Kraken scored three goals in the third period to tie the game. They ultimately lost in the shootout, but picked up a hard-fought point.

Scoring early needs to be a priority so the Kraken aren’t playing catchup as the game goes on. They have not won a game this season when trailing by three or more goals.

The Kraken have only beat Tampa Bay once in franchise history. If they can pick up a win this time around, it could help build some momentum as they head into the home stretch of the season.

As it currently stands, the Kraken are two spots out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
