TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa non-profit dairy farm is looking for a few good goat nannies.

If you are at least 15-years-old, you can become a goat nanny, learning how to feed and care for a baby kid is the first months of its life.

The babies are coming to the The Dancing Goat, a non-profit dairy farm in the urban Tampa Bay area.

“Well you do it often enough, you get hooked,” said volunteer Phil Yeh. “It’s good therapy.”

After three years, Yeh know most of the goats by name and some by their sound.

“It’s really like your own child, you get very attached to them,” said Yeh.

Nannies learn how to prepare bottles and keep milk germ free for babies. There are two nanny sessions—in the morning and in the afternoon.
And yes, they are wearing little pajamas.

Annette Mardis organizes the Nanny Volunteer Program for the new babies.

“They are very lovable, very sweet. They do bond to you,” said Mardis. “I just love them absolutely more than almost anything.”

The farm keeps chickens, sells eggs and goat milk products to keep it all going.

They have two markets weekly and offer a tour in addition to the nannying opportunities.
