JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Dolphins are set for their largest regatta of the spring racing season to date, traveling south for the Sarasota 2K. The Dolphins will race five crews over the two days of racing.

The regatta will be held at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida. For fans unable to attend, both days of racing will be streamed on RHS Sports, available HERE. Live results will also be tracked through CrewTimer, found HERE.

The regatta brings top teams from around the country down to Florida, including the likes of UCF, Boston College and Washington. The Dolphins will get a chance to compete against these top crews in their home state as they build towards the heart of the spring schedule.

The racing starts Friday at 2 PM with the second varsity fours, then the third varsity eight is next off the blocks at 2:30 PM. After an afternoon break, the Dolphins first varsity four will go out at 3:30 PM, before the second varsity eight at 4 PM and the first varsity eight closing the day at 4:40 PM.

Following the results in Friday’s heats, the Dolphins will compete across various finals on Saturday. Finals run from 8 AM to 12 PM through the day.

Head Coach Mike Lane
“This is one of those premier regattas of our spring season!  We will be racing 18 other crews from around the country, which should be a huge test.  Our women are ready for the challenge and I can’t wait to watch what they will accomplish.”
