March 26, 2026 – The Preventing Alzheimer’s with Cognitive Training (PACT) study, led by University of South Florida researchers, has received an additional $2.8 million from the National Institutes of Health. According to a prepared statement, this will help “continue researching whether computerized brain training exercises can reduce the risk of cognitive impairment and dementia.” The clinical trial, which began in 2020, has received more than $50 million in federal grant funding. Results are expected to be published in the fall of 2028.
