Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is undergoing an exterior refurbishment that will bring construction activity and some temporary impacts to the front of the resort through late 2026.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort overview

The security kiosk at the entrance is being expanded as part of the work. That project runs from late March through mid-October. The entrance stays open throughout, but lane closures are possible at times.

Disney says that guests can expect to see and hear construction during daytime hours. Views in some areas around the resort may be affected. Most amenities remain available during the refurbishment.

The work is part of a broader exterior refurbishment of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Boat Dock Also Closing

The resort’s boat dock is also affected. From April 13 through late July 2026, the dock will undergo routine maintenance and close to guests. Boat transportation to and from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be suspended from April 13 through May 1.

If you’re planning a visit to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge over the coming months, it’s worth factoring in the construction activity and the temporary loss of boat service when making your plans.
