Stardust Racers, the dueling roller coaster attraction at Epic Universe theme park, is rolling again after an extended down time.

The Universal Orlando thrill ride, located in Epic’s Celestial Park area, returned to the operating lineup on Wednesday.  The posted midmorning wait time Thursday was 45 minutes, less than the anticipated 60-minute queue for the park’s Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry attraction.

The coaster had not been running since mid-February, and its closure time had been extended a couple of time, most recently set for April 5.

“Stardust Racers is undergoing its first annual planned inspection and maintenance process,” Universal said in an official statement earlier this month. “We are efficiently completing the work all at once and are also making additional capacity and throughput enhancements, which is extending the temporary closure period.”

The ride also was closed for two weeks after a fatality occured there in September.  The 2026 maintenance work was unrelated to that incident, Universal said.

Stardust Racers is listed as going up to 62 mph, cresting at a height of 133 feet.  It was an opening-day attraction when Epic debuted in May, alongside three other coasters, Curse of the Werewolf, Mine-Cart Madness and Hiccup’s Wing Gliders.
