FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. (WINK)—Lynn Hall Memorial Park will close to the public starting Monday, April 6, for ongoing construction related to Hurricane Ian recovery efforts.
The park is located at 950 Estero Boulevard. will undergo repairs and enhancements, including upgrades to ADA-accessible boardwalks, picnic shelters, landscaping, lighting, and signage.
An elevated restroom facility will also be constructed to improve accessibility and visitor experience.
The project is expected to be completed in early summer 2027. During construction, portable restroom facilities and a pedestrian access walkway will remain open on the west end of the park.
The park and its parking lot will be closed. Visitors are encouraged to use the alternative parking at Bowditch Point Park, 50 Estero Blvd., where parking fees are $2 per hour.
The Beach Park & Ride at 11101 Summerlin Square Drive offers another option with more than 125 free parking spaces and bus service to the beach. Route schedules and maps are available at RideLeeTran.com.
The construction schedule is weather permitting and subject to change. Visitors are asked to follow posted signage and avoid closed areas for their safety.
The park is set to reopen in the summer of 2027.
