A refreshed paintjob appears to be complete on the entrance of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Nears Full Reopening
While the interior elements of the much-anticipated Tomorrowland shooting gallery attraction appear to be fully complete (judging by the period of Cast Member previews which came to an end just yesterday), work has continued on the ride’s exterior ahead of its official reopening in April.
The ride has been closed for an overhaul since August 2025.
In one of the final milestones of the efforts to upgrade the ride, it appears the new paintjob on the walls of the attraction entrance has reached its finished state.
The new paintjob shows a sleek green and purple color scheme framing the main entrance of the ride, similar to the titular Buzz Lightyear himself.
The last and ostensibly final addition was the Star Command logo flanking both sides of the entry doors, added yesterday, Friday, March 27.
The final touch to the exterior displays seems to be the main attraction sign, which currently still shows a starry graphic devoid of any text elements.
For comparison, below is what the Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin entrance looked like before its closure.
Cast member previews of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin began last week. It will officially reopen on April 8.
Fortunately, we were able to preview the updated attraction during this period. Check out our photos from inside or watch our video below.
