Tampa, Fla., Oct. 24, 2025 – Bulls Nation got their first look at the 2025-26 University of South Florida men’s basketball team during an exhibition with Saint Leo University. The Bulls dominated from start to finish, securing a 120-63 win inside the Yuengling Center.
Before tipoff, South Florida honored the legacy of former head coach Amir Abdur-Rahim, commemorating the one-year anniversary of his passing. The program showed a banner in his memory, officially named the Amir Abdur-Rahim Student Section, and revealed a mural celebrating his lasting impact on the program and university.
A strong crowd turned out for the Bulls’ first home appearance of the year. CJ Brown, coming off an American Conference All-Freshman Team selection, showed he’s ready to pick up where he left off. Brown finished with 20 points and 11 assists, and Wes Enis had an impressive debut as a Bull, scoring 26 points.
The Bulls took a 20-point lead into the half, building their advantage through upbeat tempo, strong defense, and frequent three-point shot attempts. This debut of Hodgson’s pro-style offense showed what’s to come for South Florida this season.
I’ve been off and on the @USFMBB beat since 2013, and this is the fastest I’ve ever seen a Bulls team play. Again, just an exhibition.
