Street Market returns to Southwood with dozens of vendors

  • March 29, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Southwood Street Market returned to the community on Sunday with a slightly different schedule.

In previous years, the market was on the second and fourth Sundays; however, market coordinator Amanda Johnson said the event will now be on the last Sunday of each month.

“We love supporting local businesses,” Emily Abellera said.

She and her husband, Richmond, attended Sunday’s market. “We know it’s super important, especially right now with the economy.”

Johnson said more than 35 vendors participated in the street market.

“All of the growing people coming into Tallahassee, it’s been really awesome to see different small businesses pop up and find new ways to support them,” Abellera said. “It’s nice to have something down in Southwood and not just on the north side of town.”
