Fort Lauderdale crash leaves engaged father dead, family says – NBC 6 South Florida

New information was released after a crash involving a Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue truck left a 33‑year‑old man dead, his family said.

Family members told NBC6 that Kristopher David died on Thursday, one day after the crash.

They said David was one of the people who was taken to the hospital after a two‑car collision happened on Wednesday at West Broward Boulevard and Northwest 7th Avenue.

According to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, one of the vehicles struck a fire truck during the crash.

Relatives said David was engaged to be married in the fall and leaves behind three daughters. T

hey told NBC6 he was on his way to the airport, where he worked as a fueler, at the time of the crash. His mother said he was her only child.

Authorities have not released additional details as the investigation continues.
