Elfers Spur Trail Opening
11 a.m. April 3. Tarpon Springs. Limited parking for the ribbon-cutting will be available on the right-of-way along Seaboard Drive. Underwater Easter Egg Hunt
11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. April 3. Southwest Pool, 13120 Vonn Road, Largo. For kids ages 5 and up, the egg hunt takes place within the pool. Children that cannot swim must use a life jacket. Parents are not permitted in the pool during hunt times; spectators can enjoy the activity portion of the pool throughout the event. Invasive Plants

ShredFest
9 a.m.-Noon. Saturday, April 11. Starkey Road Collection Center, 1551 Starkey Road, Largo. A free document shredding and recycling event. This easy, drive-through event allows residents to bring up to five boxes of documents for free and secure on-site shredding and recycling, until noon or full capacity has been reached. Safe Boating Courses
