After revealing the new marquee and taking down construction walls overnight, the attraction has soft opened ahead of its official April 8 reopening.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Soft Opens
Though My Disney Experience still shows the attraction has closed for refurbishment and there is no standby wait time, the ride has soft opened.
As seen in the photos above from the morning of Monday, March 30, guests are currently waiting in the standby line. Lightning Lane return times are not currently available.
A sign outside reads, “Join us! Preview the recharged Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin before it official opens.”
The attraction’s gift shop still has the red and white stripes on the wall, but the ceiling and flooring are a lighter shade of blue.
The ceiling also has planetary designs.
The previous PhotoPass wall has been demolished, and the new wall has been moved and also has an updated look. There are blue and purple frames for the screens and new touch points for MagicBands. “Mission Control” text is at the top of the display, giving this a Star Command aesthetic. The previous PhotoPass wall and gift shop can be seen in our last look post.
Check out our photos from inside and watch our full POV of the attraction below:
