Three women removed from Frontier flight, arrested after refusing to pay extra baggage fee, reports say

  • April 1, 2026

MIAMI (Gray News) – Three women in Florida were arrested after refusing to leave a plane without paying for their extra luggage.

On Sunday at about 9:50 p.m., Nafisa Dockery, 30, Davana Cochran, 26, and Dionjana Cochran, 21, were checking in for a Frontier Airlines flight to Philadelphia from Miami International Airport when they started arguing with a Frontier employee, People reported.

The employee explained to the trio that they had “only paid for one carry-on bag, but had two with them,” and therefore would need to step out of line and pay for the extra luggage.

The argument started when the Frontier employee told the women they would be removed from the flight if they did not pay for the extra bag.

“We don’t have to listen, let’s just go,” Nafisa, 30, allegedly told Davana, 26, and Dionjana, 21, per the arrest report.

Despite the employee’s warning that law enforcement would be notified if they tried to board the plane, the three women “rushed onto the aircraft” by going through a door “clearly marked restricted area, authorized personnel only.”

When deputies arrived, the Frontier manager explained why the women’s boarding passes were being denied and requested they be removed from the plane.

The women “refused to comply” when deputies told them they needed to leave the plane because their boarding passes were no longer valid. As they ignored “multiple warnings,” all passengers on the plane were deplaned so deputies could carry out their arrest.

A “brief struggle” between the women and the deputies occurred before they were taken into custody.

Nafisa allegedly spat on someone believed to be a Frontier employee as she was being taken off the plane, WPLG reported.

A now-viral video shows the women being escorted off the flight by deputies.

The flight was delayed by more than an hour due to the three women’s actions, according to the arrest report.

They have since been charged with resisting an officer without violence to his person and trespassing on property after warning.

Dockery has also been charged with battery.
