A newly released arrest report shows new details about the arrest of Timothy Allen, an off-duty Cape Coral police officer.Allen was arrested on battery charges after the Cape Coral Police Department said in a Facebook post that he had battered his spouse.Allen’s arrest report said that on Friday, officers were called to his home in reference to a domestic battery complaint. The call said that Allen and his spouse were in a physical altercation, with Allen reportedly throwing them to the ground. The call added that there were two small children in the home.The report said that Allen’s spouse had injuries to both their knees, their left elbow and the inside of their lip. Allen’s spouse reportedly told deputies that the injuries came from him throwing them on the floor.The report said that Allen and his spouse had been having issues for a long time, and that Allen had taken out a $25,000 loan without his spouse’s knowledge. They were fighting the night of the incident because Allen had searched for a pornographic site on his phone, the report adds.Once Allen’s spouse confronted him, the report said, he got aggressive and physical, demanding his phone back. The report said that at one point, he was accused of picking them up and slamming them to the floor while trying to remove the phone from their hand. When officers interviewed Allen, he reportedly told them that he and his spouse were having marital issues. He added that his spouse began yelling at him and threw his phone on the ground. The report said that when asked about the injuries to his spouse, Allen said he had no idea where they came from, and said that their altercation was entirely verbal and not physical.Allen was arrested on Friday and is facing a battery charge.
