ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — According to Orange County officials, a traffic update has been announced for Horizon West.
The traffic signal at Avalon Road and Schofield Road is now operational, marking a new step in efforts to improve traffic conditions in West Orange County. Officials say the signal is designed to help keep vehicles moving more efficiently through the area.
The upgrade introduces adjusted signal timing throughout the day, specifically aimed at easing congestion for morning northbound traffic and afternoon southbound traffic. These targeted changes are expected to better match traffic patterns during peak travel times.
Drivers may already begin noticing quicker afternoon commutes as a result of the new system. However, officials noted that additional fine-tuning will continue as they monitor traffic flow and make further adjustments.
