ALVA, Fla. (WINK)— A pastor was arrested on child pornography charges after Lee County Sheriff’s Office detectives executed a search warrant at his home on Apple Blossom Drive in Alva on Tuesday.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cybertip in January referencing child pornography coming from a home in Lee County. Through analytical research, detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children identified that the suspect lived in Alva.
The suspect, current pastor Robert Glossenger, told detectives he would receive and send child pornography while chatting with strangers online. He was arrested and charged with three counts of Possession of Child Pornography and three counts of Transmission of Child Pornography.
“This is a disturbing case where a Pastor, a person of power and trust, was searching and exchanging child porn with others online,” Sheriff Carmine Marceno said. “I am disgusted and hope anyone who may have fallen victim to this man will come forward.”
