Wax figures of actor Simu Liu are being added to the all-star lineup of Madame Tussauds locations in Orlando and New York.

Liu, whose credits include the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” and as a Ken in “Barbie,” came face to face with his two twins recently in New York.

The figure set for the Orlando location wears a suit inspired by Liu’s look at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards. The cranberry-colored outfit includes dress shirt, matching dress shoes and socks, and accessories that reflect the actor’s red-carpet style, Tussauds officials say. It is expected to go on display at Madame Tussauds Orlando — located on International Drive’s Icon Park — in mid-April.

The Liu figures destined for Madame Tussauds New York attraction wears a powder-blue Versace suit inspired by Liu’s appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of “Barbie” in 2023. There’s a matching harness with gold hardware layered over a white shirt paired with dark green loafers and accessories inspired by the jewelry and watch worn at the event.

“The fact that you recreated the outfits, especially the custom Versace that I wore for the premiere of ‘Barbie,’ it’s so intricate,” Liu said.

“I appreciate that it’s me and not a character. … This is Simu,” he said.

Liu gained fame after starring in the 2021 film “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” He made his Broadway debut in February as Mary’s teacher in “Oh, Mary!” and is scheduled to remain in the role through April 21.

The final results for the Liu figures required the work of 20 studio artists, who began the process with a detailed sitting session with the actor, Tussauds says. More than 200 measurements were recorded, and reference photographs were taken from multiple angles. Sculptors crafted a clay model before creating a wax cast to form the foundation of the figures. Artists apply paint to replicate skin tones, and hair is inserted strand by strand.
