A motorcyclist injured in a head-on crash in eastern Kansas has died days after the collision.The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on March 29 along Plum Creek Road south of U.S. 169 Highway in Miami County. The sheriff’s office said Andrew W. Miles, 36, of Fort Scott, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound when a northbound pickup truck crossed a hill and collided with him head-on.Miles was thrown from the motorcycle and found in the roadway with severe injuries when first responders arrived.He was taken to a hospital, where he died on April 2. The driver of the pickup, a 19-year-old from Mound City, and a passenger in the truck were not injured.No charges have been filed.
