Live music has a rich history at 1507 E 7th Ave. (read: The Rubb, Twilight), and has an opportunity to write its own chapter in that story. The nightclub (last known as PTL) has been hosting well-received DJ nights and this week welcomes Jack Johnson pal Donavon Frankenreiter.

The 53-year-old surfer-songwriter arrives riding the wave of a 2024 album, Get Outta Your Mind, his first studio outing in a decade and one that will sound familiar to longtime fans of Frankenreiter’s beachy retro-rock.

Tickets to see Donavon Frankenreiter play Zodiac in Ybor City on Thursday, April 9 are still available for $46.66.
