PORT ST. LUCIE – A 68-year-old woman was killed when the three-wheel electric-assist bicycle she was riding collided with a car at Southwest Gatlin Boulevard and Southwest Import Drive, Port St. Lucie on March 28 at about 7:30 a.m., according to police reports.
A Nissan Rouge was headed east on Southwest Gatlin Boulevard when it hit the bicycle operated by Thelma Arlene Hall, who was on her way to work, according to police reports.
The driver of the Nissan Rouge was not injured but the bicycle rider was killed instantly, according to police reports.
There were no signs of impairment and the driver remained on the scene of the accident, according to police reports.
The investigation continues.
